Dear Parents and Guardians,
We come to the end of another incredible and intently busy school year here at St. Xavier’s. Thank you for choosing St. Xavier’s Pakyong, for your child’s school! At Xavier’s our Motto is For God and Country. Our focus has been in creating a congenial environment that supports a love of learning, love of God and love of the Nation. Parents and guardians have been our guiding light in carrying out various responsibilities entrusted to us with total trust and faith. Without your support the academic year 2016 would not have passed so smoothly. I would like to thank you for your whole hearted support and understanding.
It has been a wonderful year! I am so proud to be able to serve the wonderful students here and the entire SXS family. I feel that I have the best job in the world and, on a daily basis, this has encouraged me. Thank you for all you do to make this Xaverian family a vibrant one.
Academically, this has been a brilliant year. We are proud to bring to your notice that we had State toppers in both ICSE and ISC Examinations this Year. This has given us extra impetus to work hard so that this record remains with us in the years to come. Three of our students from NCC got selected to take part in RD parade in New Delhi on 26th January this year. This is also a great achievement as our students have been able to compete with the students of other states to cement a place in the prestigious RD parade. Year 2016 was a year to remember where staff and students alike were engaged in stage activities as well as field activities. The annual school concert for primary section was equally enthralling one. We were able to organize a gathering of former Xaveran Principals and pupils this year. I was encouraged to see the presence of many of them. Hope to get our Alumni Association registered and work smoothly with former Xaverians for the betterment of school.
In spite of good news and achievements, we were saddened to suffer the loss of two of our students this year. Ms. Shova Gupta of Class X who left us on 17/03/2016 and Monolam Tamang of Class VI who passed away on 15/06/2016. May God grant them eternal rest and solace to the bereaved family.
I do not wish to repeat the details of everything I have written in my previous letters, about the many facets of life in our SXS family. It suffices me to say that it is always busy, and our children are always inspiring. The school has always recognized the academic excellence of students in the form of Annual Awards Day. This year also saw the extreme enthusiasm of children taking part in inter House activities. End of the month of October was a memorable one as after a gap of many Years School Cross Country race was revived and everyone enjoyed being a part of this event. Please also keep an eye on our website which we are redoing for a better viewership.
I want to thank all my teaching, hostel and supportive staff for their dedicated service rendered to this school during 2016. May God bless you infinitely.
Finally I would like to implore God’s blessing upon each and every one of you. Wish you all A Merry Christmas and a Prosperous and Happy New Year.
